PURPOSE:To improve an operability in continuously forming an image and an image reproducibility by a method wherein an image forming action by an image forming means is interrupted for every predetermined number of copies, a predetermined status is checked, and an image forming action by the image forming means is restarted unless an error state is detected. CONSTITUTION:When a continuous printing is conducted by a color laser beam printer 15, a continuous printing number N is inputted from a keyboard 12. Whether or not the continuous printing number N is larger than a maximum continuous printing number (n) is judged. If N<=(n) is held, a printer 15 can continuously print N sheets of paper, and this is conducted. If N>(n), firstly a command for continuously printing (n) sheets of paper is transmitted to the printer 15. Upon completion of this continuous printing, whether or not a printing on N sheets of paper is completed is judged. If the result is negative, the status of the printer 15, e.g. a small residual toner amount, a small residual fixing oil amount, and a jam, is detected. If the status is not detected, an image forming action is restarted. |
