PURPOSE:To obtain an optical module in which an optical fiber, and a light emitting and a light receiving elements are effectively optically coupled, and which becomes effectual with high density when it is mounted on a supporting substrate. CONSTITUTION:The optical module is constituted of the optical fiber 111 having a reflecting surface 112 obliquely ground at a top end part and the light receiving element 114 optically coupled through reflected light at the reflecting surface 112, and the surface where the reflected light toward the light receiving element 114 at the reflecting surface 112 is ejected from the optical fiber 111 is made a flat surface part 113. |
