<p>PURPOSE:To count the number of visitors while discriminating the directions of the visitors coming and going out at plural points even without using any exclusive input/output board in the visitor counter utilizing a printer port provided for a personal computer. CONSTITUTION:The counter and the printer port of the personal computer are connected, and sensors provided at plural points sense the movements of human bodies. According to the change of time for detection, the moving directions are discriminated and the number is counted by directions. Then, the count value of the counter is fetched, the respective figures of the counter are successively fetched from the counter through the printer port and summed up, and summed-up data are displayed and recorded with the passage of time. Thus, the visitors coming and going out can be counted by directions at the plural points even without using any exclusive input/output board.</p> |
