Plastic coat hanger comprising a curved part, to the centre of which the rod of a hook part is attached. A decorative and protective component takes the form of a body of constant cross-section (5) which is held on the coat hanger (1) by the complementarity of its shape. The body of constant cross-section (5) comprises an opening (6) on its top side through which the rod (4) of the hook part (3) passes, and it also surrounds the segments (7 and 8) of the curved part (2) where they adjoin the rod (4) so that the region of the curved part (2) to which the hook part is attached is completely enclosed in the body of constant cross-section (5).
