PURPOSE:To realize improving the brightness of a display device by setting a phosphor film of a constant film thickness for a wide range. CONSTITUTION:Phosphor films 5A, 5B by photolithography using phototacking resist are provided on either or both of parts between cathodes 4 on and side surfaces of ribs 6 an backing substrates 1 disposed facing each other on front substrates 2 through the ribs 6.
