<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the infiltration of water from seams into shoes by sticking a front cloth and a back cloth to each other with an unvulcanized rubber compd. contg. a foaming agent to obtain an uppers material, butting the end edges of this uppers material against each other and sewing the material with yarn subjected to a surface treatment with a thermoplastic resin and subjecting the compd. to hot air vulcanization. CONSTITUTION:The rear surface of the front cloth (synthetic leather having no surface skin or having a backskin-like tone) and the rear surface of the back cloth (acrylic boa) are respectively/subjected to one-side lining with latex. The unvulcanized rubber compd. obtd. from natural rubber and styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber, etc., is stuck onto the surfaces of the front cloth and rear cloth subjected to the latex treatment by simultaneous topping with a calender machine. The front cloth varying in color tones is used and this front cloth and the back cloth are stuck to each other by the same method. Two kinds of such uppers materials are cut and the end edges are butted against each other and are sewn by the polyester yarn coated with a polyamide resin of 80 deg.C m.p., by which the uppers are obtd. Such uppers are mounted on a shoes last, and an unvulcanized outer sole, etc., are mounted thereon and are subjected to hot air vulcanization in an indirect vulcanization vessel kept at 130 deg.C, by which the infiltration of the water from the seams is prevented.</p> |
