Diffuser of a fan in mining excavations, characterized in that it consists of a diffuser shaft in the form of a cone frustum or cylinder (1), and a ring-shaped slot (2) containing the outer wall of the diffuser, where the slot (2) is formed by metal sheets turned outwards in an arc, initially narrowing the clearance in the slot and then widening it, from which the out-flowing air creates an air curtain filling the cross-sectional area of the excavation around the fan, while the outer surface of the wall of the diffuser shaft (1) and the outer wall of the ring-shaped slot (2) are connected together with streamlined brackets (3).<IMAGE>
