MANUFACTURE OF METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To shorten an activating process time and enhance an activation degree of a metal hydride alloy electrode. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode is sufficiently dried so that a moisture quantity of the positive electrode is previously made at 1% or less than a weight of a positive electrode active material. Accordingly, removal of moisture existing in the positive electrode can be carried out in a short time in an activating process. Consequently, activation of a metal hydride alloy can be carried out sufficiently. Use of an electrode made of the resultant metal hydride alloy inside a battery can enhance a characteristic of the battery.
