A method of manufacturing glue from fresh and frozen fish skins by means of processing them chemically and boiling them, characterized in that fish skins, mainly of Alaska pollocks, hakes, and blue whitings are subjected, for 3-20 hours, to the action of an aqueous solution of sulphuric acid whose concentration ranges from 0.05 percent to 0.5 percent, at the temperature between 273 degrees K and 298 degrees K, and further the mixture is boiled for 1.5-2 hours, with a temperature between 343 degrees K and 363 degrees K, preferably 348 degrees K, and pH between 5.5 and 6.4, preferably 6.2, maintained, and further to the broth obtained in this way potassium or sodium pyrosulfite is added in an amount of 0.1-0.5 percent in relation to the mass of the broth, which is further concentrated and clarified according to an already known method.
