The invention relates to a device for partially blocking the differential of a motor vehicle making it possible to increase the torque transmitted between the left and right wheels when these wheels are rotating at different angular velocities. It is made up of a differential housing (1) which is closed and rendered leaktight to the high-pressure fluid. Internal partitioning (2) divides this casing into independent chambers filled with high-pressure hydraulic oil. The relative movement of the sun pinions and planet pinions transfers the hydraulic fluid from one chamber to the other via the spaces between the teeth. The increase in pressure in these chambers will oppose this movement, transmitting a driving torque to the wheel which still has adherence. This torque is a function of the speed of the wheel which is slipping. The implementation of the system for blocking the differential is automatic. <IMAGE>
