The tools are fixed on tool spindles by a sleeve shaped locking device. The locking device has a cavity which is pressurised urging the inner wall of the sleeve into engagement with the spindle. The pressurising medium is supplied to the sleeve via a valve arrangement. The valve arrangement comprises a head with an engagement device engageable with the locking device and automatically movable between a take-up and delivery position of the locking device and a position adjacent at least one tool spindle. AA valve engaging mechanism, when actuated, can either act on a relief valve, connected to the cavity, in the valve arrangement or connect a supply valve to a source of pressure medium.
