A planar antenna (10) includes a set of first radiating plate (13) and a first power supplying plate (12) in which openings (13a) of the former and power supplying terminals (12b) of the after are respectively coupled electromagnetically to each other, and a further set of a second radiating plate (15) and a second power supplying plate (14) in which openings (15a) of the former and power supplying terminals (14b) of the latter are respectively coupled electromagnetically to each other. The antenna structure is thereby simplified, has wide band wave reception, and allows two different polarized waves to be received. <IMAGE>
