A holder for a hand towel is attached to the head or to the foot of a hospital bed in the following way. The holder (16) is made from a length of wire which has each end (22) bent to a U shape with a straight middle portion (21) which receives the towel. The free end of each U shape is bent to form a hook (18). Each hook (18) engages a pin (15) which projects horizontally from each side member (14) of the frame which forms the head or the foot of the bed. USE/ADVANTAGE - Towel rail which is easily attached to a hospital bed.
