<p>Method for the low temperature preparation of the spinel LiMn2O4 and layered LiCoO2 intercalable compounds for use in lithium secondary battery electrodes comprises gel precipitation of these compounds from a mixture of aqueous solutions of precursors including acetates of the transition metal components. These phases can be prepared in bulk or thick film form at temperatures less than 400 °C.</p> |
