Biological test process for finding and isolating wound-healing or angiogenesis-promoting substances from biological (physiological) fluids by quanlitative detection and quantitative recording comprises use of self-replicating cells and at least one growth factor. (esp. in concns below optimum concn.) on the wound area. Test process for determn. and quantification of biological activity of wound healing or angiogenesis-promoting substances, isolated by the above or some other process, comprises use of self-replicating cells and at least on growth factor (in concns. as above) to the wound area. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process is useful for testing, e.g. blood, wine lymph or milk (whey) in humans or animals. It is cheap and reproducible and does not affect wound healing. The process can also be used for qualitative and quantitative activity determn. of starting materials, intermediates and final prods. of wound healing or angiogenesis promoting prepns.
