Thermoplastic compsns. (I) consist of (a) 50-100 pts. mixt. of 55-99 pts. graft prod. (A) and 1-45 pts. graft prod. (B) and (b) 0-50 pts. copolymer of 60-80 pts. vinylaromatic hydrocarbon (II) and 20-40 pts. mono-olefinically unsatd. nitrile (III). Graft prod. (A) is obtd. from a butadiene polymer (IV) in form of a rubber latex with bimodal rubber particle size distribution, 20-60 pts. vol. (per 100 pts. vol. rubber) having particle size 90-180 nm and 20-45 pts. vol. having particle size 240-330 nm, while graft prod. (B) is obtd. from a (IV) in form of a rubber latex with monomodal rubber particle size distribution, 60-90 pts. vol. having particle size 40-90 nm. Component (a) contains 10-30 pts. (IV) and 70-90 pts. copolymer of 60-80 pts. of a (II) and 20-40 pts. of a (III) grafted on (IV) as elastic phase, with degree of grafting 0.01-0. ADVANTAGE - (I) having improved notched impact strength, are obtd. simply, without extra process stages or use of special equipment.
