The present invention relates to an oligonucleotide that can be used to identify individuals with an increased risk for the development of lymphoid leukemia and/or lymphoma and to a test kit containing the oligonucleotides. The invention also relates to method of identifying individuals and/or populations of individuals at an increased risk for the development of lymphoid leukemia and/or lymphoma.
