PURPOSE:To simply produce a magnetic toner exhibiting high electrostatic chargeability in spite of the low content of an electrostatic charge controlling agent and having superior mechanical durability at a low cost as a magnetic toner used in a developing device fitted with an elastically deformable toner support. CONSTITUTION:Fine resin particles 4 are stuck on the surfaces of core particles 3 contg. a binding resin 1 and a material 2. An electrostatic charge controlling agent 8 is dispersed in a solvent 7 dissolving the fine resin particles 4, this controlling agent dispersed solvent 9 is brought into contact with the fine resin particles 4 on the surfaces of the core particles 3 to dissolve the particles 4 and resin coating layers contg. the electrostatic charge controlling agent 8 are formed. |
