PURPOSE: To make it possible to a moving target from images which are mutually registered in series at a constant rate for traffic monitoring. CONSTITUTION: A difference image Dn(i, j) is calculated from a frame right after -Rn (i, j) and low-pass filtering is performed for the difference image Dn(i, j) so as to obtain a series of filtered difference images Fn (i, j). Then the sum of intensity of many successive frames in a sequence of filtered difference images Fn-m (m=0, 1... M) is generated at a pixel position (i+mdx , j+mdy ) positioned in each direction (dx, dy) outside of pixels (i, j) in order so that the frames are further put back in terms of time for the respective pixels and respective directions (dx, dy), amplitudes representing maximum size between the sums between plural directions for the respective pixels of plural pixels, and the amplitudes of the respective pixels form a image Gn (i, j) collectively. |
