The machine (6) for preparing mown material has two conveying rollers (11, 12), a support (14) and a hammer rotor (15) which bruise the stalks and leaves, thus damaging the cuticle, so promoting evapo-transpiration and accelerating the drying. A pair of pressure rollers (18, 19) compacting the material is arranged directly after the hammer rotor, especially by the gap formed by the hammer bodies (17, 25) and the support. USE/ADVANTAGE - The machine damages the cuticle of the stalks and leaves, thus aiding evapor-transpiration and accelerating the drying.
