The free-standing or wall shelf comprises a supporting rod and shelves. The shelves should be symmetrical in their longitudinal radial sense relative the support rod (7). Each shelf has a vertical hole (19) for the rod on the shelf contact sectors (29a,b) so that an asymmetrical force is introduced relative the rod and its related tipping and leverage effects between the vertically and radially opposing shelf sectors (29). The individual shelves are held firmly and positively by friction to prevent their adjustment in height other than by intention. USE/ADVANTAGE - Furniture, e.g. plant etc. shelving. Asymmetrical holed shelves for support rod are held at adjusted height to suit general layout.
