An infrared remote control appts. for the TV receiver is built into the telephone handset and can transmit and/or receive signals over the telecommunication network. The viewer selects a transmitter of teleshopping information and places an order at a registerd time via the telpohone keypad. Customer data are stored on a personalised chip card for access control and monitoring of use of the remote facility. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for interactive TV (teleshopping), space and cost are saved with parts of equipment sharing common housing, keyboard and power supply.
