<p>PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic tape recording/reproducing device capable of easily performing additional recording of data on a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:When the data are recorded on a magnetic tape T, a chapter CHA1 which is a blank area where no data are recorded is preliminarily secured at the BOT side of the magnetic tape T. Then image data and sound data are recorded following the chapter CHA1. When the post-recording (additional recording) of the image data or sound data is conducted in a chapter CHA2, the image data are recorded in the preliminarily secured chapter CHA1. The desired image data to be additionally recorded are selected from the chapter CHA1 with a parameter Pi, the image data recording area in the chapter CHA2 in which the data are to be additionally recorded is selected with a parameter Bj. Based on these parameters, the image data in the chapter CHA1 are searched and reproduced, and then the recording area in the chapter CHA2 is searched and the reproduced data are recorded in it.</p> |
