PURPOSE:To change the detecting conditions and the correcting method accord ing to the input device or input person of sentences and then to change the showing method of the sureness of the detected improper areas and the order and the types of correction candidates when these improper areas (wrong words, omitted words, grammatical errors, inconstancy of descriptions, hard-to- understand expressions, etc.) of the given sentences are automatically detected and corrected. CONSTITUTION:A condition storage means 1 stores the improper areas and their correcting methods. A detection means 2 detects the areas where the conditions of improper areas are satisfied for the given sentences. A correction means 5 applies the correcting method to each detected area and generates the correction candidates. An input identification means 3 informs the type of an input device and the identification of an input person for the given sentences. A condition change means 4 changes the contents (detecting conditions, correcting methods) stored in the means 1. Then, a display means 6 changes the showing method according to the information given from the means 3. |
