Automatic incandescent lamp bulb gas filling machine - uses filling heads attached to turntable and controlled valves in filling gas distribution system

The machine has a supply container (A2) for the filling gas coupled to a distribution system (A1) which feeds it to a member of filling heads. Each head provides a vacuum-tight connection to a lamp envelope which is evacuated before being filled with the gas. The filling heads (20) are mounted on a machine turntable which is indexed in unison with the distribution system and the supply container. A valve is located between the distribution system and the lamp envelope. A further valve is opened and closed under control of the filling machine. USE/ADVANTAGE - Incandescent lamp mfr. Gas is kept exremely clean and very little is lost. Amt. kept within close tolerances.
