The arrangement for the continuous measurement of a pipe's (3) longitudinal weld seam (2) immediately after welding contains at least one ultrasonic testt head (14) with a vibrator (15) adjustable w.r.t. the head angle relative to the pipe surface (4). The test head and pipe are coupled via water. The head is mounted adjustably in a holder with a roller support enabling it to move in a horizontal plane (HE) transverse to the pipe's central longitudinal plane (MLE). The coupling water path is formed as a water chamber supplied with weld cooling water at below 20 deg.C. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement is simplified in construction and use. It can be used for testing pipes with different dia.
