The physiotherapy device has a crank mechanism driven by an electric motor and pedals in the form of reception cups, into which the feet are fitted, so that the legs are moved in a pedalling movement upon rotation of the crank mechanism. The device is clamped to the foot end of a hospital bed and has a wheeled frame (1) with a vertical column (2) having a horizontal support arm (11) for the crank mechanism. A U-shaped clamp rail (10) fits over the bed frame (5) at the foot of the bed. The electric drive motor is pref. coupled to an electronic control which coupled via a data interface to a personal computer, or display monitor. ADVANTAGE - Easy fitting to patient's bed.
