Up and over door for garages - has spring tensioned linkage to balance door in all of door operation

The counter-balancing spring assembly is for an up and over door. The door (2) is operated with a pair of horizontal rails (5) and roller (4), and a pair of vertical rails (3). To balance the door in cases of sudden removal of the operating force, either manual or motor, a laterally stabilised spring (12) is pin linked at either end (11, 13) to the door inner leaf and a link (7). In a closed position, the angle (alpha) between the tensioned spring axis and the door axis is 5 to 20 degrees. USE/ADVANTAGE - Door is balanced at all phases of operation.
