PURPOSE:To provide the evaluation method of a magneto-optical disk capable of measuring the characteristics such as the sensitivity of the disk without very much lengthening time required for the measurement of one disk. CONSTITUTION:A light beam emitted from a laser diode 17 radiates a magneto- optical disk 12 to record data while changing the power of the beam at a constant power step width, and then the magneto-optical disk 12 is reproduced, and when a C/N value reaches near a prescribed value, the recording sensitivity at which the data can be recorded with the prescribed value is obtained while changing the power at a smaller power step width. |
