<p>A mop handle (10) consisting of a substantially straight cylindrical shaft (12) having first (16) and second opposite ends. A mop head (36) is secured at the first end (16) of the shaft (12), and a first hand grip (14) is received over the second end of the shaft (12). A second hand grip (18) is secured at an intermediate portion (22, 26, 30) of the shaft (12) and offset laterally with respect to a longitudinal axis of the shaft (12). A third hand grip (20) is secured at an intermediate portion (24, 28, 32) of the shaft (12) substantially diametrically opposed to the second hand grip (18) and offset laterally with respect to the longitudinal axis. The second (18) and third (20) hand grips are mounted for free rotation about axes substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. The construction facilitates manipulation of the mop head (36) without causing callousing to the hands, or strain to the wrists and forearms of the user.</p> |
