The chamfering machine has a horizontal carrier (2) supported by a vertical shaft, with an upstanding vertical post (3) at its end carrying a horizontal pivot beam (9), which has a second pivot beam (10) at its free end, from which the chamfer angle setting device (32) is suspended. A pair of hydraulic cylinders control 2 respective sliding plates having associated roller bearing rods (26) for the horizontal support rollers (34) contacting the glass plate. A servomotor (12) controlling the chamfer angle setting device (32) is mounted at the free end of the second pivot arm (10) with an associated motor control coupled to a setting polentiometer.
