A bottle fitted with a screw cap is easily opened by means of a simple device. The device consists of a disc (a) with a recess (c) on one face. The dia. of this recess (c) corresponds to the outside dia. of the screw cap (b) and the wall of the recess is serrated to correspond with the serrations of the external surface of the screw cap (b). The disc has recesses formed around its periphery to provide a firm grip when removing the screw cap in order to open a bottle. the disc can also be used to screw the cap firmly on to the bottle.
