PURPOSE:To enable printing to be confirmed just after said printing and to enable printing to be performed again immediately after the printing fails by a method wherein a primary image sensor is provided integrally with a printing head and a self convergent lens array forming an image is provided to said sensor. CONSTITUTION:A printed head 1 which performs printing on a paper 5 is a thin type ink jet head. A primary image sensor 2 is provided integrally therewith rearward in the proceeding direction, and said sensor 2 optically converts an erected equimultiple image of a character on the paper 5 which is formed with a self convergent lens array 3. Further, an LED array light source 4 is provided in order to illuminate the paper 5. Since printing can be confirmed just after said printing with such ink jet printing head where printing is performed in the direction A, reprinting becomes capable of being performed quickly by cleaning the head immediately when printing fails. |
