<p>A bicycle multiple sprocket assembly comprises smaller and larger sprockets (2, 3) for shiftable engagement with a chain (C). The larger sprocket includes at least one reluctantly disengageable tooth (T3), at least one chain supporting tooth (T1a, T1b) immediately following the reluctantly disengageable tooth with respect to the forward rotational direction of the sprocket assembly, and at least one easily disengageable tooth (T2) immediately following the chain supporting teeth. The apex (6) of the chain supporting tooth is wider than those of the other larger sprocket teeth for supporting thereon the chain at the time of shifting from the larger to smaller sprockets. <IMAGE></p> |
