<p>PURPOSE:To provide at a low cost the optical signal generating device where light quantity attenuation factor in a subscanning direction of the light irradiating an optical shutter array is minimized, high accuracy is not required for arrangement of the optical shutter array and elements of an optical fiber array, and adjustment of optical axis is unnecessary. CONSTITUTION:A light diffusing plate 25 is provided between the optical fiber array 20 and the optical shutter array 30 at a position satisfying the condition shown by the numerical formula: L1>=Ltantheta2/2tantheta1 where L1 is distance between the optical fiber array and the light diffusing plate, L is distance between the optical fiber array and the optical shutter array, theta1 is light exit angle from the optical fiber array, theta2 is aperture angle of an image forming lens array.</p> |
