PURPOSE:To facilitate the management and edit of a tape by using a current time generating means to generate a current year, month, day, time as a time data and recording the data onto the video tape. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup means 101 outputs an external video image as an electric signal and a video signal processing means 102 converts an output of the image pickup means 101 into a video signal. Then a video signal recording means 103 converts the video signal into a video recording signal and records the recording signal onto a tape 106. Moreover, a current time generating means 104 generates a current year, month, day, time at a point of time of image pickup and outputs the data as a current time data, and a time data recording means 105 records the data onto the tape 106. The edit after image pickup or the retrieval of the video image are realized easily with high accuracy by utilizing the recorded data and the management of the tape 106 is facilitated. |
