<p>Weftless and single wire tire beading assemblies (12) are disclosed where at least one of the termination ends (15) of the weftless layer or of the single wire bead is treated, e.g. mechanically deformed or heat treated, to minimize stress concentration between the treated end and an inside surface (20) of the tire bead ring assembly (12). Tire bead ring assemblies are disclosed where a cushion or wedge means is positioned between the termination end and the body of the bead assemblies or positioned adjacent the termination ends and the body of the bead assembly.</p> |
