PURPOSE:To prevent a pit from nonalignment and to improve a play back characteristic by a method wherein in an optical recording medium in which a recording layer and an optical reflection layer are provided onto a light transmitting substrate, the recording layer is made to contain a pigment by rejecting variation in shape by radiation of recording light. CONSTITUTION:In an optical recording medium wherein a recording layer 12 and an optical reflecting layer 13 are provided on a writable optical recording medium 1 especially on an optical transmitting substrate 11 and, if necessary, a protective layer 14 is provided on the optical reflecting layer 13, the recording layer 12 is made to contain a pigment fading by rejecting variation in shape by radiation of recording light. Then, this pigment shall be a phthalocyanine pigment as given in the general formula described right In the formula, Me represents any one of Si atom Al atom, or Ga atom, and Pc represents a phthalocyanine ring. Further, n represents an integer of 1-5, and m represents 1 or 2. The recording layer 12 containing phthalocyanine pigment is coated by a spin coat application method, and its thickness shall be about 1000nm-2000nm. |
