PURPOSE: To scavenge a hardened material and a partially hardened material from inside of a mixer especially used in a two-component mixing and dispensing system in a liquid material mixing and dispensing system. CONSTITUTION: In a method and apparatus for scavenging hardened and partially hardened materials from a mixer 40 used in a dispensing system 10 of the two-component reactive polymeric materials, at a first stage, pulse fluid of a cleaning material is introduced into the mixer 40 to remove partially hardened two-component mixture from the mixer 40 and generation of clog in the mixer 40 is delayed. At a second stage, the mixer is heated to a temp. between an applying temp. and a decomposition temp. of hardened components, then a cleaning material is introduced thereto at high liquid pressure to discharge the hardened material from the mixer 40. |
