摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the time for the optical axis adjustment of a laser processing optical system and to enhance the accuracy thereof and further to allow the automatic locking of a laser power source when there are no work pieces. CONSTITUTION:A visible light laser 2 is prepd. in addition to a laser oscillator 1. Mirror groups 7-1 to 7-3 existing in the mid-ways of the optical path reflect 100% the laser beam for processing of the laser oscillator 1 and reflect 50% the visible light of the visible light laser 2 and allow the 50% transmission thereof. The light rays transmitted through these mirrors are detected by sensors 8-1 to 8-3 and the light intensities thereof are displayed on display devices 9-1 to 9-3. The visible light is put into the sensor 8-4 at the terminal of the optical axis and the light intensity thereof is displayed on the display device 9-4 when there are no work pieces in a jig 12. The optical axis adjustment is executed by adjusting the angles of the mirror groups in such a manner that the respective display devices display optimum values. On the other hand, a microcomputer 6 turns off the laser power source 4 while there is the light to be received in the sensor 8-4.
