PURPOSE:To hold ink suddenly leaking from a recorder without the need of excessive parts and process man-hour by a method wherein grooves capable of retaining ink are formed at a position on a case member and near the recorder. CONSTITUTION:An electronic apparatus using an ink jet recorder 5 has a main body consisting of upper and lower cases 1a and 1b, and the recorder 5 records images on a recording material 2 by reciprocating a recording head 6 along the recording material. Two or gore grooves 10 capable of retaining ink are formed at a position on the inner face of the lower case la and near the recorder 5, so that ink suddenly leaking from the recording head 6, an ink tank or connectors of ink feed tubes that connect the recording head and the ink tank is retained in the grooves 10. The grooves 10 are formed so as to cover almost the whole moving range of the recording head 6 and composed of two or more parallel ribs 13 which are molded into one piece on the inner face of the lower case 1b. |
