<p>In order to decorate a moulded article a decoration (22) of pigmented hardenable liquid material is formed on a backing sheet (21). The result, possibly with a layer (23) of transparent liquid material covering the decoration forms a preformed decorated item. That item may be stored for subsequent use. When it is to be used, it is located in a mould with a layer (25) of transparent hardenable liquid material between it and the mould (24) that layer (25) being applied to the item, to the mould, or both. The backing sheet (21) is then removed and the article (26) moulded in the mould (24). This causes the decoration to be bonded to the article (26). Alternatively, the article may have the decoration enclosed between two layers of hardenable liquid material. <IMAGE></p> |
