Transporting device for preforms (1) intended for the manufacture of hollow bodies made from synthetic material, such as bottles or the like, comprising a track for advance (10) comprising two slides (11) which are substantially parallel and arranged so that a perpendicular common to the two slides is substantially horizontal, the said preforms having a head which is enlarged relative to at least a part of their body and being engaged vertically between the two slides on which they are displaced while being supported by their head; it comprises means (13) for removal of preforms which are nested in each other in an undesirable manner, which removal means (13) comprise unbalancing means (14) suitable for offsetting the centre of gravity of the preforms so that a vertical passing through the centre of gravity of an assembly of nested preforms passes outside one of the slides (11) and so that this assembly of nested preforms is unbalanced and falls from the slides.
