PURPOSE:To prevent range-finding accuracy from lowering by preventing base length from becoming short in the case of providing an active system range finder mechanism in a small-sized camera. CONSTITUTION:A light projecting part 401 and a light receiving part 501 are arranged in the lateral direction of a camera main body 101. A mirror 512 which is positioned behind a light projecting(receiving) lens 511 and has a reflection surface (a) for bending the axis of an optical path to a direction in parallel with a base is provided in at least either of the light projecting part 401 and the light receiving part 501, and a light projecting(receiving) element 513 is arranged on the side of the internal mechanism such as a cartridge chamber 102. |
