<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a compound semiconductor device which allows a signal light output from one or a plurality of light-emitting elements to be transmitted to a plurality of light-receiving elements at the same time and has an improved information transmission efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A light-refraction region is provided between a light-emitting element 5 and light-receiving elements 6a-6e. This light-refraction region is constituted by forming a plurality of compound semiconductor layers 1 and 4 and these compound semiconductor layers 1 and 4 have a larger refractive index at a layer which is closer the light-emitting element 5.</p> |
