PURPOSE:To improve the plotting processing speed in a graphic processing system. CONSTITUTION:A size calculating means 21 finds out the size of virtual coordinates corresponding to the minimum plotting unit on a display device and stores the size in the 1st preserving means 23. A minimum area calculating means 22 finds out a minimum rectangular area surrounding a graphic commanded to be plooted by an apllication program 10 and stores a smaller value out the height and width of the rectangular area in the 2nd preserving means 24. When the means 22 preserves the value in the 2nd preserving means 24, a control means 25 mutually compares the contents of the 1st and 2nd preserving means 23, 24 and allows the execution of plotting processing when the size stored in the 1st preserving means 23 is smaller, or inhibits the execution when the size preserved in the means 23 is not smaller, i.e., the graphic to be plotted is a point or a straight line on the display device. Since plotting processing is not executed to a graphic to be degraded to a point or a straight line on the display device, the plotting processing speed can be improved. |
