PURPOSE:To provide a metallic filament for a rubber composite material which is excellent in the characteriatics of rubber penetrability, fretting and elongation and can easily improve rigidity, as well without generating punching at the time of compositing with the rubber, and a method for simply manufacturing this filament in a low cost. CONSTITUTION:In the filament 1 having 0.1-0.8mm wire diameter, used as reinforcing material for rubber, this filament has >=300kgf/mm<2> tensile strength, >=130% shaping ratio and two-dimensional irregularity 10, 11. Further, straight filament having >=300kgf/mm<2> tensile strength and 0.1-0.8mm wire diameter is shaped at >=130% shaping ratio with gear rolls composed of one pair of flat gears setting backlash at >=0.5. |
