PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of energy for an elevator device incorporating a plurality of elevators. CONSTITUTION:An elevator device incorporating a plurality of elevators #1, #2,... which are laid in parallel, includes a means for converting an energy obtained during descending operation of an elevator into an energy for ascending operation of an elevator, a means 9 for storing therein an supplying energy, a means 11 for always estimating and monitoring an energy during operation of an elevator and a stored energy, and a means 12 for allocating energy to the elevators so as to minimize the energy to be supplied. When more than one elevator ascend, the other one elevator is allowed to descend so that the released energy therefrom is used as an energy for the ascending elevators. Accordingly, the energy which is released during descending operation may be effectively used during ascending, and accordingly, it is possible to reduce the energy consumption of the elevator device as a whole. |
