PURPOSE:To realize accurate and sophisticated control by offering common system time information to all data transmitters connected to the same optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Optical transmission controllers 2a, 2b provided to data processing units 1a, 1b inputs transmission data 13a, 13b from its own data processing units 1a, 1b and converts them into transmission data optical signals 14a, 14b. Optical demultiplex synthesizers 8a, 8b synthesize transmission data optical signals 14a, 14b and transmission system time data optical signals 21a, 21b and output the transmission optical signals 28a, 28b to an optical transmission line 30. A star coupler 9 distributes reception optical signals 29a, 29b uniformly. The optical demultiplexers 8a, 8b demultiplexes the received optical signals 29a, 29b into reception data optical signals 15a, 15b and reception system time data optical signals 22a, 22b. The reception system time data optical signals 22a, 22b are used for making the system time information the same. |
