PURPOSE:To provide a motor speed controller having sufficiently improved current control performance, improved maintainability and regulation performance through a host microprocessor and which can accomodate for modification of external specification. CONSTITUTION:The motor speed controller comprises a host microprocessor 1 for obtaining torque command data, a converter 10 for obtaining current detection data from motor current, a speed control circuit 5 for receiving a rotational angle detection signal of motor to produce a speed detection data and further producing the phase difference data of motor current, a digital processor 7 for receiving the torque command data, the phase difference data, and the current detection data to produce a voltage command data, and a PWM control circuit 6 for feeding an inverter with a control signal obtained through comparison between the voltage command data and a carrier wave. The PWM control circuit has an interface function for transmitting the torque command data from a general purpose microprocessor, the phase reference data from the speed detecting circuit and the current detection data from an A/D converter to the digital processor 7. |
